Dr. Jakimer is the "best". His care, concern & knowledge are superior to any other in the tri-state area. I have recommended him to many, many people & they have all been happy with him. I have been going to him since 1990 for all my pets & would "never" change. God willing he "never" retires. Very satisfied client. Laura Pitagna

Excellent Vet. Outrageous Prices.

I have the utmost respect for Dr Jakimer and I especially love the fact that he seems to really understand and love cats -- not just doggies. I am a NY State licensed wildlife rehabilitator, but sometimes I end up rescuing feral cats and kittens besides the usual baby squirrels, baby skunks and baby birds that come my way. In the past I always brought the kittens to Dr Jakimer because of his stellar reputation. However, a month ago I rescued two feral 6-wk old kittens with severe eye infections and upper respiratory issues. Dr J looked at them, gave them Strongid for worms and Clavamox for the infection, plus eye drops. The bill? $379!!!!! Supposedly he ""discounts"" for people who rescue ferals, but OMG if that's a discount I'd hate to see the original price. Needless to say, I cannot go to this clinic anymore because I am rescuing these animals in order to adopt them out -- I cannot afford $300+ every time this happens. Sorry, Dr. J.....

Loves your animals as much as you do!

Being a ""mom"" to 5 cats requires alot of love, work, attention and like all ""children"" you can never tell when they are going to get sick.
Picture this: Your baby gets sick and needs to go to the doctor... on a saturday..you know that the doctors office is probably packed..but you call anyway..and no matter what the appointment book looks like or the posted office hours, your doctor finds a way to get you and your baby in!!!!- immediately your anxiety goes away and you know that you can rely on that doctor.
That is the reliability i have always found with Dr. Jakimer..My Dino got sick and needed to be seen..without hesitation the staff and Dr. Jakimer got him in..blood was taken, all questions answered, fears put to rest, and again..respect was shown through and through...even Dino thanked him by rubbing his scent all over the exam room..lol..
Owning animals,do incur COSTS!!!, however to see the thanks they give you by loving you and/or bringing love to someone elses family = PRICELESS!!!
Thank You Dr. Jakimer and your staff you are an assest and an integral part to the health and wellbeing of animals and their humans alike!!
