The company manufactures a variety of narrow fabric products, including braided elastics, apparel draw cords, tassels, window treatment products and lace. Rhode Island Textile s products also include the Stretch-Rite brand of packaged elastic and lace and Stay-Ty brand shoelaces, all of which are available via retail stores, mass merchandisers, supermarkets and drugstores. The company was founded in 1913. It has headquarters in Pawtucket, R.I. Rhode Island Textile is affiliated with South Carolina Elastic, which owns three plants that manufacture woven, knitted and braided elastics.
