Incorporated in 1972, Federation of Organizations is an alliance of mental health advocacy groups that offers community-based psychology care services for people who suffer from mental illnesses. The organization assists individuals and families to meet their specific needs through self-help, advocacy and resource development solutions. As a social welfare agency, it provides a variety of programs for at-risk children and low-income senior citizens throughout New York. Federation of Organizations provides education, referral and program development services. It offers psychiatric rehabilitation, employment, crisis intervention, housing assistance and case management programs. The organization provides outreach, advocacy, transportation, financial management, and drug and alcohol counseling services. Federation of Organizations is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
