High Point Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 550 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s syllabus includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education and music. It conducts classes in geometry, algebra, astronomy and heritage. The school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. High Point Elementary School maintains a media center. It is a part of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, which governs various educational institutions. The school system employs nearly 5,000 teachers. It is one of the largest school systems in Maryland that serves approximately 70,000 students.
