      Dr. David Joseph Louri MD, FACS, FASMBS is the Director of the Bariatric Surgery Program and the Director and Developer of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Program at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. Dr. Louri has a special interest in robot enhanced surgery and published his early, extensive personal experience with robotic gastric bypass surgery. Dr. Louri has served as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital. Dr. Louri graduated at the top of his class from the Indiana University School of Medicine. An experienced and respected laparoscopic surgeon, Dr. Louri teaches and publishes in his areas of expertise and continues to be a leader in advanced surgical techniques. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. David Louri specializes in laparoscopic bariatric weight loss surgery: laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery, laparoscopic gastric sleeve surgery, and lap band surgery.
