I go to the Whale very often. I sit at the bar and talk to the girls and have some drinks. They always make me feel right at home. I was at the bar this past weekend and I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears the way the managers/owners treat their employees. There is no tact when something is wrong. The managers come behind the bar with this bad attitude and long face that we can all see and starts attacking his girls and arguing with them in front of EVERYONE! How unprofessional! I'll tell you, I told the girls that they shouldn't put up with that and that I won't spend my money in a place where the management/owners treat their employees with such disrespect. And that's not the only time I've seen such attitude. It's disturbing to witness such vulgarity for such simply issues. My advice, go back and get some real management training because your employer hasn't done any justice for the quality of treatment for their employees. DO YOU THINK THE CUSTOMERS CAN'T SEE YOU!!!!

ive lived here for 34 years and i love seafood. my friends own this restuarant. it just opened up a couple of months ago. THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD.1 hour wait at 7 pm. 30 mins before someone came to the table.30 min for a drink, 30 for appt, and an hour for our food and it wasnt busy at the time of night. the salmon i ordered was bad-smelly and texture. the bill came to $88 after all we had,drinks,appt, and entrees,which i returned mine and they never took it off the bill,knowing the owners are friends of mine-they used to own OCEAN 234 on A1A in deerfield. ill never ever go back!!!! i dont even give them 1 star.

It was an awful experience!!!!



The place is too small. The bar is in the kitchen and there is one bathroom for the men and one for the women.

Our fried calamari took 35min and when we asked where it was they said there must have been a misunderstanding btw the bartenders?!?!?!

I ordered a side salad with my meal for $3.00 so I expected and nice side salad- tomato,cucummbers,olives but most of all SALAD LETTUCE!! They gave me a plate with SHREDDED lettuce and 1 slice of tomato and 3 crutons.

So I asked the owner to please take back the salad because I decided against it and instead of asking "is there anything else I can get you?" or "what is wrong with this salad?" he just took it back. My friend steps in and tells him that he should be ashamed for serving shredded lettuce that "goes on a taco." The owner instead explains that there is nothing wrong with his side salad and if I wanted another lettuce I should've ordered ceasar.

Once I realized the owner was a jerk I almost walked out and went to Wendy's because there manager would've cared more and they serve letture that belongs on a salad not a taco.

So we finished and all PROMISED we would spread the word about this awful experience and NEVER go back and never put our friends and family through what we went through.



My family came from Italy and has been in the restaurant business for years- trust me it was awful!

Save ur money go some place that you'll get ur money's worth.
