I signed up for a high interest checking account advertised in march 2009. The promo was that the account would earn +4% if I do the following monthly: visit account online, 10 debit transaction and 1 bill payment. First month after account opening automatically qualifies for high interest rate. Two problems subsequently arise. One, I open my account on March 26 and only qualify for 4 days of high interest rate. I did not qualify in April because I did not get my debit card and PIN number until April 20th. Second, I did not qualify in May and June either because everytime I try to signup for bill payment, after thinking eveyrthing is done, I still cannot make bill payment. I contacted the Bank on July 1st and they told me that they did have not switch bill payment on for my account because I forgot to click one of a dozen boxes in the long disclosure statement. So after three months of being a customer, I still did not qualify for high interest rate and must call customer service many times to get issues fix which is still not resolve until today. I am fed-up and tired of the switch and bait tactic by this penny stock bank. company has markep cap of $58 million as of 7/2/09 could go under at any time. Please don't be fool like me for the high interest rate offer. They will not pay out despite what's advertise. Stick with a more reputable bank and one that is more financial stable. Company is thinly traded with market cap of $58 million.
