General Info: Transit Care, headquartered in Colton, Calif., works with transit properties to help prevent vandalism caused by passengers etching graffiti on the inside of transit bus and light rail windows. Its Glass Guard product is available as a complete installation kit for virtually any transit vehicle in use today. The kit includes a disposable and/or recyclable acrylic window liner and ready to install brackets and screws. Once installed, the unit is tamper-proof and essentially invisible to the passenger. The company offers on-site installation training, if necessary. Installation instruction sheets are included with every kit. It also produces a specialized product called 3-minute window, which allows for fast replacement windows that have been painted with graffiti. Its Modesty Panels come installed with Glass Guard protective liners, which can be changed in seconds when tagged with graffiti but are designed for revenue generating advertisement placements.
