My experience at Guitar Guild has been a Outstanding experience, even to this day. I have always wanted to play the guitar and have taken lessons from three different places and at times I have dreaded going to my lessons before coming to Guitar Guild. I was bike riding one day and passed her school and said what the hell let me try one more time. It took 6 to 8 months before I called and I wished I would of called earlier. I asked Renee, to teach me like a 1st. grader. I have just recently retired and I am a Iraq War Veteran, I really need something to occupy my time. Renee, teaches beyond her professional abilities and boundaries of the other teachers that I have had. She corrects me in a professional way that makes me feel like I am learning and accomplishing something. Her teaching and techniques far exceeds that of the other teachers I have had. I am not throwing shade at my other teachers but Renee has a music degree in teaching music, at that makes a big difference. Renee, stimulates harmony and high spirit and makes me feel confident and feel that I can do this. She brought to my attention that I try to go too fast, she always tells me to slow down, that I feel is my biggest problem going to fast and making errors but I am working on it. I also feel that she is totally immersed and involved in a successful effort to make me feel that I am succeeding and that makes me feel confident. I can go on and on but all I can say is give her classes a try, I guarantee you that you will not regret it. The only regret that you would have is that you did not sign up earlier, like me. Renee takes exceptional pride in teaching her students. I still have a long way to go but I feel positive and confident about me playing in the future due to Renee's teaching skills.

Our children have had a wonderful experience at the Guitar Guild. Prior to the pandemic, the school was always a welcoming environment, warm and homey while we waited during their lessons. Since then, lessons have continued virtually with the instructor who FaceTimes live showing flexibility and creativity to ensure the kids are still making progress. Their instructor, Brian, has done a great job building and maintaining a connection with them despite not being able to see them in person for a while. We value the opportunity to expose our kids to musical skills at a young age, and Guitar Guild is wonderful at nurturing those skills.

The Guitar Guild was owned and operated by my father, Bob Cappetta. Sadly, he passed away last year. The new principal is me, Renee Cappetta, his daughter. I am undertaking a big facelift of the school....and I keep Dad's dogs out of the business areas. I hold both a Bachelor of Music AND a Bachelor of Education. Don't be surprised by my Australian Accent. I spent most of my life there with my Aussie Mother. I am making New Jersey my home now so I can carry on Dad's legacy. I have some very big shoes to fill.

I was a little leary sending my son here for Guitar after i read the review about the dogs. She must have been born with a silver spoon and raised in a bubble. The dogs aren't aggressive by any means. Though you have to be mindful of them as you would your own pets. My son did attend a lesson and another school before the Guild but, the approach to teaching there paled in comparison to Bob. He has a very informative technique in teaching that infuses his knowledge into the the excitement and curiosity of learning your instrument. He does not overwhelm his students with a lesson regiment if you will but rather caters to a student as individuals. I would recommend him to anyone interested in learning the guitar.
