      General Info
      The first diplomatic meeting between the United States and Mexico took place at the Riviera in 1964. Attendees included President Lyndon B. Johnson, President Lopez Mateos and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Palm Springs Riviera Resort is located in the heart of Palm Springs, Calif., near shopping, hiking, biking, golfing, gaming and nightlife. The resort is surrounded by the San Jacinto Mountains and provides complimentary transportation to downtown Palm Springs and the Palm Springs International Airport. The Riviera s guest rooms include poolside suites, Jacuzzi suites, deluxe rooms, parlor and petite suites. The rooms and suites feature oversized beds, granite-top bathrooms, wireless Internet access, temperature controls, mini-refrigerators, entertainment centers, 27-inch televisions, multi-line telephones, coffee makers, irons and ironing boards. Hotel-wide amenities include fine dining, golf, 18-hole putting course, tennis, volleyball, basketball and a large pool.
