I had an accident, went to Gerber (recommended by the Ins company) and they pretty much totaled it within 10 minutes. As many times unseen damage occurs, the further your estimate is from the 'totaled' amount, the better. Although the Ins company advertise they and their body shop cohorts, have to use the least expensive QUALITY parts available, Gerber quickly, obviously skillfully and against the 'bait' of a fair deal offered by the Ins company, used ONLY new parts on their estimate, obviously not checking anyone else. Body shops offen find damage later so there should be a big difference between the estimate and the amout they total different cars, so other repairs can be done. After reporting the promise (in print) of fair prices to get me there and then not getting them, to everyone applicable, I still don't have my car fixed. Not wanting or being able to loose the car, I desperately searched everywhere for the parts and I was going to find a garage body man. Being a Senior citizen, very ill (nearly bed ridden) and with most my cash (Social Security) going to Doctors and Meds, I needed that car. I need more expense with CANCER. Et tu Gerber?...... Thanks. So, needing help and trusting 'chain' stores, I called MAACO in Palatine and spoke with Rolando. Without knowing me or giving them the promise of a job (or whining that I am sick), he made phone calls, spent time and helped me. It did take him 10 minutes longer than Gerber. I am getting the car repaired there for $1500.00 less than Gerber ( including more repair) using quality fairly priced parts, using INS estimate from the SAME Ins company (who were unaware of the err of Gerber). Gerber, using all their expertise, knowledge, connections and at least 4 computers, could not find the same prices for quality parts as Rolando at MAACO in Palatine. At this point I am very happy and then while at MAACO Palatine, I met Eddy (more than an expert body man) and Al the owner. Phew, I fee safe. I feel it's like 40 years ago when 'Honesty was the Policy' (maybe 50 years ago). Oh yeah, I nearly forgot, to top it off, they took an EXTRA 10% off the repairs. I can now have meds, rent, gas, food and a snazzy car this month. Thanks so very much Rolando........( the Quarterback of MAACO palatine). THANK YOU to MAACO's human resources dept. Caveat: As we all have been promised the World on a Silver platter and have gotten Berwyn on a paper plate, I will write on which plate I got.

wow i have never been anywhere worse in my life

they COMPLETELY ruined my car, i got it back worse than it started.

there were sandpaper marks everywhere thru the paint and they didnt fix any of the dents.

i could also see the primer right through the paint.



NEVER GO HERE.

they were the worst I ever seen.

Took longer than was promised, didnt fix as quoted, called for more money for extras they didnt even fix.

each panel of the 5 they fixed is a different shade none are the original color.

DONT GO THERE YOU WILL BE SORRY
