A friend and I dined at Thai Rose for the first time on a busy Friday evening and I cannot say enough! My friend is in a wheelchair and though the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible yet, the friendly staff quickly offered to assist in carrying him in the restaurant. Our waitress, Rachel, I believe, was friendly and offered excellent recommendations to my friend as this was his first time trying thai food. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the panang curry was outstanding, as well as the Moo Yang, the Kung Pahn Khing appetizer and the delectable dessert. The food, service and atmosphere were commendable and my family and I will be dining there frequently. Bravo!!!

Thai Rose has amazing food. I got the Tom Kha soup (coconut milk soup) and it was perfect. For an entree I got Red Curry, and it was also great. I wanted 2 1/2 stars for heat, and although the soup was not spicy at all, the curry had a very subtle, nice amount of heat to it. The only negative I have from this place is the size, it has a very small dining room so get there early for dinner. Because the place is so small, they stop doing take out at 5:30, thus primarily doing take-out for lunch only. It took a little while for the food to come out, however this was the first week they were open, and I know they are now hiring another cook, so this should improve. Their head chef was head chef at House of Thai, formerly on West 2nd street, and you can see the similarities in both the menu, and the overall taste of the food. If you like real good Thai food at a fair price, you will love the Thai Rose.

My girlfriend and I went here last night and I can definitely say it was not worth the wait, especially since it took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. We were seated before three other tables and served our food last of the group including one other table of 8. After the first hour of waiting I questioned where our dinners were, they apologized and explained that they were busy. Keep in mind there is maybe 7 small tables in the entire dining area. When we did finally get our food it was not that great. Portions were of good size but the noodle dish I had was boring and lacked the signature chili and Thai basil overtones that typically accompany it. My girlfriend had the Panang Curry with chicken which I would have scored an 8 out of 10 surprisingly. I was told I don't like Thai food after explaining that I've been there 3 times and that it's my favorite food. I really want this place to succeed because I love Thai food. They didn't even take the appetizer off the check.
