Reviews
First time using this clinic. They performed a historectomy on my 5 month old Peke. The results were outstanding. No scar is even visible, and the puppy did not appear to suffer any trama, unlike 4 other clinics that i have used in the past. Highly recommend this location.

FORGET ALL YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS HOSPITAL. IT IS NOW UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. THEY NOW OFFER ADVANCED SURGICAL PROCEDURES, EARLY AND LATE HOURS (M-F 7AM-8PM, SAT 7AM-3PM), PET BOARDING WITH OUTSIDE EXERCISE AREA, AND WALK-INS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. THEY HAVE NEW EQUIPMENT SUCH AS: AN ANESTHETIC VENTILATION MACHINE WHICH BREATHES FOR THE PATIENT, DURING SURGERY - MUCH SAFER. SURGICAL MONITORING SYSTEM THAT MEASURES OXYGEN LEVELS AND HEARTRATE. LATEST IN DENTAL SCALING AND POLISHING WHICH REDUCES THE ANESTHETIC TIME FOR A TEETH CLEANING. IF YOU LIKED IT BEFORE, YOU'LL LOVE IT NOW. IF YOU HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE, COME BACK AND GIVE OSWEGO ANIMAL HOSPITAL ANOTHER TRY.
NEW OWNER 2007 (so previously review written in 2003 should have no bearing)
TOP NOTCH VETS AND GREAT CARE
They are also affiliated with Animal Care Center of Plainfield who is my primary vet care services.
BOTH ARE GREAT PLACES TO BRING YOUR ANIMAL.
I used Oswego Animal Hospital for over a year to care for our two Pugs (routine shots, etc). I was not entirely pleased with the way he ran his business, but he was very convenient to use (location and ease of getting appointments). This business does not provide itemized billing. At the end of your appointment, the vet simply tells his assistant how much to charge. Charges for services and for medications are not consistent. I was asked to pay twice as much for a medication as I had on a previous purchase. When I inquired about this, the price was reduced to the original amount. The vet has a very casual attitude about medicine and gives verbal rather than written instructions on medications and post-surgery care. I stopped using this vet after he operated on my dogs leg and I had to have a staph infection in the surgical site treated by a second vet as well as redoing the surgery. It cost me lots of money and my dog was in needless discomfort for five months.
