- Veterinary SurgeryBruce A. Oscarson DVM, a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, has been with the Osceola Veterinary Service since 1990. Dr. Oscarson enjoys working with all large animal species (cattle, horses, camelids(alpacas and llamas), goats, sheep) and their owners. He regularly visits many of the area dairy farms providing services ranging from herd reproductive exams and ultrasounds to repairing injured teats and caring for sore feet. Dr. Oscarson serves most of the alpaca breeders in the area offering general husbandry/management consultation as well medical and surgical care including reproductive ultrasounds. A majority of Dr. Oscarson's time is spent with the horse owning residents of our four county practice area. With a full stable of his own, he is very experienced in all aspects of horse care. Equine hoof & foot problems are an area of particular interest.
