The company was founded in 1926 by Wilford W. Clyde and incorporated in 1933. Since that time, it has constructed interstate highways, bridges, dams, airports, mines, golf courses, environmental reclamation projects, large sitework/site preparation and other types of large construction projects in the Intermountain West. W. W. Clyde has built more miles of interstate highway in the state of Utah than any other contractor. Overall, the company has completed construction projects worth more than $1 billion.
