service in the evening was excellant. food is average with small portions. menu is very over priced. a hamburger is $13.00.good wine list. will not be going back.

I went to the Light Well last night for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It's not like there's a lot going on in the town of Orange, and this place has the monopoly on a nice atmostphere with decent food and drink. The place was PACKED and had a good energy. The band HGW was performing, and it was probably the best time I've ever had in Orange. Welcome!

We own Chestnut Hill Bed & Breakfast Inn, a couple of blocks from The Live Well. We regularly send our guests to eat there and have only heard positive comments when they return. In the short period of time they have been open, my wife and I have eaten there on several occasions. We both find it to be most enjoyable. Like the previous reviewer, we also have noticed extended periods that you have to wait to be seated, but I guess that goes hand & hand with being a successful restaurant that everyone wants to visit. We usually assume in advance that we are going to enjoy a drink a bar with the locals before being seated for dinner. The last time we went, when our table was ready, we elected to stay at the bar because we were enjoying the company of another couple we had just met. All and all, this is a great place to go for good simple food, great drinks and good conversation. We are pleased to have The Light Well in the Town of Orange.

Went there for dinner , was told I did not need a reservation however after trying to take a seat was told very nicely that the tables were reserved. They were very busy and we were accommodated nicely at the bar. While we waited for over an hour for a table we ordered appetizers. They came relatively quickly. The fried wontons were light and delicious. After that we waited at least another 45 minutes for the rest of our food. Being newly open I am sure the kitchen is trying to manage the large groups of people, however when you are sitting at the bar ( we ended up eating our entire meal at the bar), you should be served over a 15 top etc. The manager was very gracious and 1/2 comped us our entire meal. We were delightfully pleased , it was totally unexpected! We will go back on a less busy night , with reservations just in case.

Excellent atmosphere, food, and service. Reasonably priced food and alcohol. The coffee drinks are great! The place is full each time I've been.
