A ""brewpub"" brews and sells beer on the premises. Jasoh does not brew its own beer. Thank goodness for that. They do sell beer, though, which they will be happy to deliver to your table in a pitcher with broken, sharp edges.
I went because of the good reviews but was very unhappy with the food and the service. I think some establishments get really good reviews for awhile and then they forget they let things go and I think this is what happened here.
When we were there, we tried the steak and it was just OK. Mine was dry and over cooked. The server asks us how it was and we said it was OK. They seemed very unconcerned and acted like something was wrong with our taste buds. Sorry but the food wasn't that great. After this the service went to hell. They could care less about patrons that don't like their food.
I would suggest that they retrain their staff and management regarding the fact that they can actually cook something the wrong way and retrain the cook on how to cook a proper steak. The servers need to be trained not to be snobby when a person complains.
I will not be going back.
I feel even giving one star is generous in this case. My Husband and I decided to try out the ""Bar"" side of the establishment. Sum it up for you... The waiter brought out the wrong draft, no mention until we were done we wondered why we tasted no rasberry.... then my pasta was so, so the Caprise salad(small cost to upgrade to this choice like 2.50) was very good though. My husbands salad was not as great as mine(even though it was the exact same upgraded salad) He picked the roast... it was served cool to touch, dry, and flavorless. We didn't mention it, no worries sometimes things happen. We ordered the cheesecake thinking maybe this would redeem the meal. Nope! It was terrible! Tasted like it had been born of a tin can bred with plastic!!! We sent it back. Made no mention of our displeasure until we were leaving the building. We asked to speak to the manager very quietly. We were told the wait staff at the counter was the manager and so to speak ""tough cookies"" sorry you felt this way.... no hey this isn't normal, please try to come again another night. We stand by out food blah blah blah... nothing! We called when we left and spoke with AJ the manager in short he told my Husband and I that we were ""trying to have a Party on them"" I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say.... then when asking him to clarify what he ment by this, he told me and my Husband to never come back to the restaurant!!! He was so rude I hung up. I found out who the owners are and e-mailed them. Explaining we didn't want anything for free, that was not our intent. ( our bill was only 60.00 for hell's sake!!!) Long story short The Owner Shayna responded via e-mail telling us we would have never been told this by her manager AJ and pretty much sucks you had a bad experience but made no apologies.... hmmm let's see who doesn't go to Jasohs???? In experienced wait staff, so so cuisine, terrible desert and rude mgmt/owners.
Unless your taste buds are numb, I'd avoid eating here. The pasta salad was clearly made with day old noodles that were stiff. The chocolate souffle was deflated when it was brought to the table and extremely under baked.
There is hope though, the crab cakes were ok and cocktails were amazing. The atmosphere was quite nice. A great view of 25th street.
So, if you are interested in fine dining atmosphere, but prefer gas station food this is your place!
bad food-awful pasta-i've had better frozen food
service-it doesn't exist
brew pub means that you brew your own beer, a gastro pub means that you focus on the food-I think that is what Jasoh intended to be, instead, eat eat elswhere. Regretfully, I let them know the difference between brew pub and gastro-pub. There were some really good brew pubs/gastro pubs in Salt Lake,

Fabulous accommodations and perfect service!!
I had a very last minute lunch meeting; Jasoh Prime dining came to the rescue. Their service was some of the best I have ever had it rivals several fine dining locations throughout the world!! I was extremely impressed. GREAT JOB!! I will always use Jasoh Prime dining anytime I am in Utah!!
I am a business executive, with Williams Aeorospace.
I was looking to book a christmas party for 65 people, I drove by the establishment to check parking and appearance. I was appauled with the window painting located on the lower level. The 50%-70% was absolutely tasteless. I booked my party elsewhere
This is one of my favorites! Thoughtful presentation, delicious food, pleasing atmosphere. Something for everyone in every price range and the filet was the best I have ever had... I still dream of it sometimes... try the bruschetta appetizer... one of my cravings!! Don't miss this place!!
We've been to Jasoh a couple of times by ourselves and with family, and the place has delivered, even pleasing my incredibly picky folks.
The food is fresh, well seasoned and served hot. The preparation takes a bit of time but it's well worth it and it is expected that things are prepared to order not pre-fabbed at a place like this. Prices are very reasonable, and sign up for their program where you get coupons in the mail and it's quite affordable.
Decent selection of libations, good wait staff, tasty desserts and food.
After reading several positive reviews about Jasohs, we decided to go there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We heard that the restaurant received awards for the best steak in Utah and also scored high for a special occasion...well the steak was ""good"". Not the best, but it was good. The pasta dish was downright poor. After one bite we both decided to move the dish aside and shared the steak between the two of us. The service was also less than desirable. The waiter asked us how the meal wsa before we really had time to taste all that was on our plates, and then after setting my wife's meal aside it stood there for the remainder of the meal. No offers were made by the waiter to get a new dish, and we were surprised that no adjustment was made to the tab. The restaurant itself is quaint and nice, and definitely doesn't lack character. However, they ought to rid themselves of the annoying plastic cubes on the tables with drink specials...leave that to fast food chains. Overall, I'd say the place is below average for the price...
25th street is supposedly the place to eat in Ogden, but Jasoh is by far the best restaurant in town. A total gem with funky, elegant decor, friendly staff, excellent old jazz or beautiful live guitar as background music... And the food is fabulous. I have tried most of the menu and have yet to find something that I don't really like. The food is imaginative, fresh, beautifully presented and above all delicious. I whole heartedly recommend Jasoh as the place for young, creative, sophisticated and completely delicious food and atmosphere.
My husband and I visit Jasoh often. We are always impressed with the wonderful service, and attention to detail. I think we have had the same server every time! The food is excellent, and there is never a wait to get in (that is until everyone discovers what a gem this place is). The decor is tasteful and yet a little funky, with great ambience. I would not hesitate to recommend Jasoh to anyone looking for a flavorful and unique dining experience.
Jasoh's has become our favorite restaurant. The dishes are unique, presented exquisitely, but most importantly, delicious. I'm suprised that they aren't always packed -- but that is good because we have been able to be seated without reservations! Definitely worth the visit.
Jasoh's is the best restaurant in Ogden. The food is prepared to perfection and the presentation is spectacular. The filet is always prepared with a wonderful sauce as are the seafood specials. The finishing touch is the dessert tray. Have tried them all and they are all my favorites. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. If you want to have a special evening this is the place to go.
I highly recommend Jasoh for dinner. The steaks are out of this world and the chocolate bodino is to die for. I've eaten at Jasoh numverous times and I've been delighted with great pork, chicken, and seafood in addtion to the outstanding steaks. I used to dread entertaining out of town clients in Ogden becasue of the lack of good restaurants. Now when I entertain in the evening I always choose Jasoh. The atmosphere is great and the food is wonderful. Many of my out of town visitors have even asked if we could go back to Jasoh because they enjoyed it so much the first time.
While I hesitate to mention anything negative, I must say that lunch at Jasoh is a different story. I don't know if they use a different chef at lunch but the few times I've tried lunch I've never had a great dining experience.
Skip lunch but enjoy a fabulous dinner.
Thanks Jasoh for providing a great evening atmosphere and wonderful food that Ogden has been sorely missing.

This is an excellent place for a relaxed quiet dinner. Service is great and the food is excellent. Everything we have tried from the iron pan chicken to the filet has been just lovely.
This place is GREAT! The food is always superb and the sevice is unmatched. Try the Strawberry-Banana Beer next time your in! Truly a delightful place.
Jasoh's is THE place to go! The cuisine is amazing---nobody does sauces like Chef Jasoh. The atmosphere is friendly and accommodating; Jason and Shana are the best at making you feel welcome. We have been devoted customers since their opening and think of it as ""our"" place. Once you've tried it, Jasoh's will become your favorite place---it is ours!
When Jasoh's first opened, we dined there often, being patient while the kinks were being worked out. However, we found that the wait staff changed often, and it seemed as if, we, the diners, were helping to train them. Reminding them to get the bread, drinks, etc. Some of them appeared very nervous, afraid to make a mistake. Time has past and things have improved. If you have not been to Jasoh's in a while, give them another try. The food is consistently good and seems to be always warm now. The wine list is great and they are very accommadating with our kids. I love the new bread. Wishes would be that they put salt and pepper on the table, be prompt with the drinks, allow Jason to mingle with the diners, and be receptive to diners suggestions. It goes back to the customer is always right, even if that means giveing away a free meal!!
Thanks for sticking it out, your place is great!
My husband & I have been to Jasoh's four times so far & have been more than pleased. The parking is easy to get to, always felt welcomed & the food outstanding. The only thing that you need help on is your neon sign. You cannot see it well when traveling north on Harrison Blvd. Keep up the good work your doing.
