Regular Hours:On Friday, Facey defeated Chad Henninger from Eastern Washington 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 at No. 5, followed by a 6-2, 6-1 victory Saturday over Northern Colorado’s Connor Buchanan at No. 4. On Sunday, Facey topped Esteban Ferraro of Montana State 6-2, 6-3. Facey, a true freshman, is now 10-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play after his four-match winning streak. In his last 10 matches, Facey is 8-2. Baca, a sophomore from Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, went 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles play last week. The Hornets went 1-1 last week, losing to No. 55 Arizona, but clinched the regular-season title by defeating Northern Arizona 6-1 the following day. The Hornets are seeded No. 1 in the conference as they seek their ninth straight championship this weekend. Baca defeated Natalie Toporowska of Arizona 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, and Yumi Hasegawa of Northern Arizona 6-3, 6-2. In doubles play, Baca paired with teammate Maria Meliuk to win 8-2 at No. 2 doubles against Arizona, and 8-5 against Northern Arizona.
