      Established in 1954, Murakami Nelson Architectural is one of the oldest architectural firms in the East Bay. Based in Oakland, Calif., the company provides an array of services in urban planning; new buildings, adaptive re-use, historic preservation, programming, space planning, and tenant improvements, to name a few. The firm has worked in projects in a variety of domains, including civic, commercial, educational, planning and residential. The company's list of projects includes Lake Merritt Boathouse, Niello Audi, Barrows Hall, Piedmont Unified School District, Oakland Waterfront Trail, Lake Merritt Masterplan, Claremont Hills Residence and Samish Island Residence.
