Montclair Egg Shop

This place is all about the breakfasts. I've never had a bad breakfast here. It's not fancy, but the staff works hard, the portions are generous, and the food is tasty. I stick to classic: eggs, bacon, toast...but my friends that like more adventurous items have been pleased too.

""Visited Montclair Egg Shop a few times. we didnt stay and wait for 45 minutes, we came back very early the next day (7-8am).
super super busy on the weekends. is any breakfasty place not busy at this time? so aggravating!

Food: 5 stars
Decor: 3 stars. very dark, not too pleasant. they seem to like to seat you in the back corner near the bathroom when they are slow. the fire is nice. i find the train annoying as hell. if im hungover and actually braving the sunlight i dont want any fing trains running over my head.
Service: 5 stars They were attentive and removed plates properly.
Cost: 4 stars. I don't remember it being overpriced.

Ordered:
French toast- quite good, (brought my own syrup)
Veggie scramble and potatoes- this was good, satisfying, tho not the caliber as stacks.
fresh squeezed orange juice- not too sour.

Pros: the fireplace,
Cons: decor, often full of munchkins, that damn train.
Overall: I would eat here again if i dont feel like driving to mama's royal cafe, or stack's in burlingame, both which are tastier by far.""
