Had a large tree fall on my house last Oct. NLC was very resposive, the adjuster was knowledgeble and fair. They are not the low cost alternative when it comes to rates...but you get what you pay for.
0Very poor claim service. They never get back to you and try to do everything from making you whole for loses

- NLC Insurance Company was formed in Norwich, Conn., in 1840 by a group of local businessmen. Their primary purpose was to insure homes, farms and public buildings from fire. By 1990, the 150th anniversary of the company, written premiums had surged to more than $33 million. The company has now grown to more than $60 million. NLC Insurance also provides specialized commercial property/casualty insurance programs for rented dwellings, apartments, condominiums, retail stores and a variety of other service businesses. It sells and services its products through more than 350 independent agents throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. NLC Insurance provides claims support, homeowners insurance, insurance for rental homes, automobile insurance, personal umbrella insurance and commercial business insurance.
