- Internal MedicineMidlands Family Medicine was founded in 1995 by doctors Gary L. Conell and Jeffrey C. Brittan. Physician Assistant Dave Arthur came to the practice with Dr. Conell. Mr. Arthur has been practicing with Dr. Conell since 1975 until the retirement of Dr. Conell. Dr. Jason M. Citta joined the practice in 2002 following his residency training in rural Family Medicine. Dr. Shawn P. Murdock joined the practice in 2009 following his residency training in rural Family Medicine. Upon the retirement of Dr. Conell in 2015, Dave Arthur began practicing with Dr. Murdock. The addition of Dr. Ron Asher has expanded the services of Midlands Family Medicine as he is Board Certified in Internal Medicine allowing expansion of the clinic to better serve the needs of our growing population; with this addition Midlands Family Medicine created a sister practice known as
- GastroenterologyDr. Jason Citta is originally form Columbus, Nebraska. He received his undergraduate degree from Chadron State College in 1996, majoring in Health Sciences. Dr. Citta graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical School in 1999, and completed his three year family practice residency at UNMC's Family Medicine in Omaha. After completing his residency, Dr. Citta entered a one year Rural Medicine Fellowship to acquire further rural medicine training, including emphasis in the areas of neonatal intensive care, adult intensive care, high risk obstetrical care, and gastroenterology procedures. He completed this fellowship in July of 2002 and joined Midlands Family Medicine at that time. Dr. Citta enjoys fishing, hunting, boating, and camping
