Adventure out in the Cherry Grove salt water Marsh or to Waites Island or go deep into the undeveloped natural black water's of the Waccamaw River. Paddle through the pristine marsh channels of Cherry Grove and venture out to Waites Island, one of the few undeveloped barrier islands on the east coast where you may see Birds such as Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Ducks, Marsh Hens, and Snowy Egrets, Terns, Oyster Catchers, and Black Skimmers, and large Brown Pelicans, Loggerhead Sea Turtles and Bottle Nose dolphins. Or Paddle on the Waccamaw Lazy River through the peaceful and wild swamps of the low country and enjoy the solitude and serenity that the last remaining pieces that Heritage Trust land has to offer. We transport you up river in our kayak van so you paddle down river with the slow moving current through a protected wildlife refuge dominated by bald cypress, water tupelo and isolated strands of rare Atlantic White Cedar where you may see Birds such as Herons, Egrets, Wood Storks, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Ducks, Prothonatary Warblers (aka Swamp Canaries), Woodpeckers Animals such as Snakes, Beaver, Otter, Deer, River Otters, the occasional Alligator, numerous species of Turtles, Barred Owls, Mississippi Kites, and Coopers Hawks, A multitude of Neotropical migratory songbirds
