Established in 1957, Montowese Elementary School enrolls more than 425 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school operates with a workforce of over 35 teachers and nearly 10 other staff members. It offers speech therapy and psychological counseling services. Montowese Elementary School also provides instructional services in vocal and instrumental music, as well as special and physical education. The school maintains walking and aerobic exercise clubs. It additionally has a parent-teacher association. Montowese Elementary School offers a variety of educational programs in English, arts, science, mathematics and social studies. The school is governed by North Haven Schools, which administers elementary, middle and high schools.
