- We are a small-animal practice, which means our primary focus is on cats and dogs. Over 200 veterinarians refer patients to us for emergency and specialty care every year. We are committed to providing the highest standard of veterinary care whenever you may need it 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Recently we moved from it’s long time location in downtown New Haven, CT to a new larger facility in North Haven, CT. This move will allow us to provide you with expanded medical services in a more comfortable environment, with plenty of parking, large reception area and enclosed state of the art walking area for hospitalized dogs. Central Hospital is a partner in your pet’s health care. We share all records of the treatment we provide with your family vet.

When we went to Central Hospital we were so frightened because like most pet owners, our pets are like our babies. Because they don't speak they cannot tell us what's wrong. At Central hospital they knew right away what was wrong and took care of our dog with expertise and kindness towards all of us. We went home relieved and with the meds needed for Duke to feel himself again. Thank you to the staff at Central Hospital for such a pleasant visit for such a scary situation.
