We are a family owned and operated company located in North East, Maryland. Here we take pride in our work and customer satisfaction as well as staying competitive. Our staff offers our customers any knowledge and support we can to help them get their job done. We provide a variety of building and construction materials such as masonry products, plywood, framing lumber, treated lumber, roofing material, mouldings and more. Our hardware items cover a broad range from electrical, plumbing, hand and power tools and a variety of other hardware items. In addition to hardware and building materials we also provide home heating oil delivery and service. Benjamin Oil provides service for the Cecil county area delivering #2 fuel and kerosene. Please call us today or see our heating page for more information. Delivery Available. Our History: This building has stood the test of time since the 1930?s when it was a feed store. In the 1960?s, to meet the needs of our growing community it was converted to a hardware and lumberyard. The current owners took over in 1976. We sit directly beside the railroad tracks before coming into town. In the past, the lumber and material deliveries use to be unloaded directly from the rail cars. The original icehouse built to hold huge blocks of ice cut out of the North East river still stands. The floor of the icehouse was dug deep into the ground and straw was laid over the ice to keep cold. After many years the icehouse floor was covered and converted to store other materials.
