They didn't let me down until now. Nov 2016 my original alternator of 2004 saab aero 9-5 with 200,000 miles let go. They installed a new one which carries 1 year warranty and price of $450 with taxes and labor. First six months after the replacement , the car was getting glitches from battery light coming on and off with dashboard flickering. But when i pay them a visit , all system goes away. Til Oct the alternator burned up. They replaced it with no questions asked but i know they were pissed. Three months later all of my dash board lights were flickering including my headlights and rear lights. They tell me its an electrical issue , plus i have 215,000 miles on it , trying to tell me time for a new car. RRIIGHT. I went to see a SAAB specialist in warwick ri , and he told me it was the alternator. Tom's tells me my warranty expired but just put the second one in a few months ago and don't want to honor the warranty for that one. The SAAB specialist replaced my alternator with the cost of $600 which includes 2 years warranty and 2 years of free towing.AND GUESS WHAT? its NOT the PROPER ALTERNATOR for this car. The SAAB requires BOSCH brand products. Tom's is probably using generic cheap brands. The SAAB specialist did the replacement 3 months ago. The car runs like a charm , no flickering issues , and the SAAB specialist told me no electrical issues. I told Tom from Tom's that he just lost a life time customer from brakes , oil changes , air filters , and other maintenances from the past 10 years. They're about as close to the dealer prices ,so if you need something on your car done , go to your dealer or if you have a friend or family member. i waited 3 months to be sure that it was the alternator problems in the last 18 months and not an electrical issues/ high miles as tom claims. BS!!! now my SAAB has 220,000 miles and nothing wrong with it, Letting you know that i have all the paper work and receipts to back up my claim.

My car was working fine, I figured I would replace my brake pads as maintainance called for, I bring my vehicle by , brakes working 100%. I leave my vehicle and they replace my pads, the guy NEVER test drove it afterwords by the way. He dumps my car in the lot takes my money and goes back in I felt relief. Driving down the road I realized the brakes are spongy and exceeded what was normal for new brakes because they normally are until you pump pedal until the caliper is in place. I call back and he confirmed that his mechanic , who did my brake pads, broke it. Then says he is closed for the holiday weekend he cannot help me. He says if I bring it back on Tuesday he can fix it and I pay full price. Then they disregarded that we work and have kids and now my brakes don't work at ALL after Tom's Auto Service. Don't let these scam artists touch your car. When I called about my brake pads they repeatedly said I will need rotors , and I didn't , and they never seen my vehicles rotors so it was weird how hard he tried. Terrible customer service, I can't drive until after the holiday weekend.

My family and I have dealt with Tom's auto since their beginning. I have found them to be knowledgable and honest. They stand behind their services and products. They take the time to explain the services and equipment so as to better educate the consumer and to ensure proper care of the individual vehicle. Their prices are in line with most shops and well below dealerships. The mechanics are up on current trends and personable. They treat each customer with dignity and respect and not as a business. They are a cut above most shops. I do not hesitate to recommend anyone to this business. Just make sure Tom is supervised. :)) Awesome Business !!!

Tom's Auto cutomer

I have been a customer at Tom;s Auto for several years. I have a Mercedes and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vehicle. The service is outstanding!!!!! The repair facility is modern and immaculate. The waiting area is exceptional. I have also told all my colleagues in Dartmouth and they wouldn't bring their vehicles to any other repair shop except Tom's Auto Repair. You can't find any better than this!!!!!
