- Comprehensive ExaminationVaccinations are available to the public. A $20 pre-vaccination health exam is required at the time of your visit. Spayed and neutered cats and dogs get a 50% discount on the exam fee.
- Parasites Treatment and ControlProof of an up-to-date rabies and distemper vaccine is required for surgery. A heartworm test is required for dogs 10 months of age or older. The Norfolk SPCA will no longer be vetting litters without a breeders license.

- Pain ManagementCats must be current on their rabies and FVRCP vaccines or have them performed along with surgery. Cats must arrive in a carrier.

- MicrochippingA microchip is a tiny electronic chip (about the size of a grain of rice) placed under your animal’s skin. The chip has a unique ID number that once registered, links to you, and your contact information. Microchips are placed in dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and even reptiles like snakes and tortoises!
