i had been a faithful customer to this cleaners for over 5 years. I always thought they were overpriced but continued to do business because the location was so convenient. I brought a suit jacket in to be cleaned and was refused service because the tag had come off. I asked if I could sign a waiver accepting responsibility for it to be cleaned. but was told they were unwill ing to clean it. I asked if they would be willing to lose a faithful customer and the manager simply shrugged his shoulders. That was all I needed to see and I've never been back.

I dropped off five shirts in february. First, three of them came back completely messed up. The collar line was ironed incorrectly, my white shirt looked like it was never washed, and a blue shirt I brought had new stains on it! After TWO MONTHS they finally fixed my white shirt but the blue one still was not fixable. They put in a claim for me and I still haven't received reimbursement for the ruined shirt. Despite the convenience of same day and next day service, I am no longer using Albano cleaners. Their front counter staff is great though. Most of the problem seems to be at their cleaning centers and with their senior management.

I placed 5 shirts in the E. Little Creek Rd. shop on 3/23/2006 and was promised the shirts by 5 P.M. the next day. Four shirts were ready the 5th shirt was promised to be sent to my home in Washington, DC. Several phone calls an 2 visits to Norfolk later and I still have no response except, " The Manager is out". On the second visit, 4/14/2006, I was told that the manager was out but I could fill out a xeroxed form (1 copy) to request "Partial compensation". May 19, 2006 I was again in Norfolk and I was told, "The Manager is out".
