- Laser Eye SurgeryLasik surgery borrows from the earlier ALK and PRK procedures to create superior technology for vision correction. During this procedure, a tiny flap is made in the outer part of the eye (the cornea), and a very small amount of tissue is removed with the laser. Then, the flap is placed back over the eye so there is no soreness. There are no stitches, and no discomfort...it's computerized surgery that restores vision quickly and painlessly.

- Eye ExamWe suggest diabetics and those taking medications with possible ocular side effects (i.e hydroxychloroquine) have an eye examination at least yearly, possibly more often if there is retinopathy. For those over 60 years old with no eye disease or strong family history of such, should have an eye exam every 1-2 years. Healthy adults younger than 60 years old who have no known eye disease or strong family history of such can be seen every 2-3 years. Children who have no obvious problem should have their first eye examination at about 3 years old.
