The Newell School District offers a variety of extracurricular and learning programs. The organization provides classes in art, math, science, English, social studies, computers, economics, desktop publishing, accounting, and health and physical education. It offers a range of athletic activities, including football, cheerleading, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, track, golf and lateral sports. The school organizes various special programs that include knowledge bowl, fall athletic banquets, band and drama groups and rodeo programs. It has several activity clubs and organizations, such as a student council, the National Honor Society and Future Farmers of America. The school also organizes various classes in technology, literature, and vocal and instrumental music. Additionally, it has a learning and media center.
