Established in 1974, Opportunity Works is located in Newburyport, Mass. It has a more than 20,000-square-foot facility and over 30 professionals. The agency offers various services, such as case management, community integration and access, work skills instruction and life skills training. It also offers behavior enhancement and day habilitation services. The agency contracts with area companies to provide a variety of services that include packaging, assembly, sorting and quality control inspection. Opportunity Works also offers various community-based employment services, which includes qualification process, mutual benefits, job stability, transportation, compensation and training and supervision. The agency is certified and licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation. Opportunity Works is also accredited for personal, social and community services by Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
