Located in Newark, N.J., West Side High School is operated by Zewark Public Schools that serves students in grades 10 through 12. It is a business and financial education institute, and is a member of the National Academy Foundation-Academy of Finance. It offers a wide variety of courses, including banking, insurance, taxes and investments. The high school offers various elective courses, such as culinary arts, desktop publishing, fashion designing, and carpentry and home improvement. It offers a variety of athletic activities, such as football, soccer, tennis, basketball, cross country and volleyball. The high school provides various clubs and extracurricular activities, including band, policy debate team, chess club, pep squad, literary magazine and Future Business Leaders of America.
