Based off of great and recent reviews, I signed up and paid in full for the 10 hour package on 7/28/14. My class session was scheduled for 7/30 and first driving lesson on 8/1. The same day that I registered, I explained to Stephanie that I would arrive approximately 10 mins late for the 7/30 class that started at 9:30 as I would be dropping my child off for camp. She said it wouldn't be a problem as long as I arrived no later than that. That morning, the train service on the 1, 2, and 3 lines was severely delayed with both packed trains sitting in the station due to issues at the South Ferry station which then led to the conductor saying there was an investigation and some trains would not be traveling to South Ferry at all. After waiting for quite some time and realizing by the time service was restored, most likely the local train that I was on would go express, I exited the subway with my child to catch a cab. I then called US One to inform the receptionist that I would not be able to make the class as it was already 9:30 and I still hadn't dropped off my daughter. Initially, the call was fine and Stephanie said that we would have to reschedule. I acknowledged that I understood the need to reschedule from our previous conversation.



This is where things abruptly went downhill. Stephanie then passive aggressively says that I need to inform them 24 hours in advance in order to reschedule. After being stuck in the subway with a bunch of understandably grumpy people trying to get to their destination, who were now very late, this was THE LAST thing I wanted to hear. Still, I calmly said, while I can appreciate you needing to tell me that, it's not really helpful at the moment as there was no way to know 24 hours in advance that I'd be stuck on the train the morning of my class. Stephanie cuts me off and says in a very testy tone that she's DOING ME A FAVOR as she could have just had me pay the $45 fee to reschedule. At this point, I'm way beyond put off by the receptionist who is facilitating providing a service that I've paid for in advance. We're talking over each other at this point and I'm telling her that while I understand the company policy as I read it when I signed up, there's no need to speak to anyone this way especially in this instance where the reason why I'm late was out of my control. Not to mention, at no point during my call did I ask for or expect any exceptions. I told Stephanie that I would call her back to reschedule as I was still in the process of trying to get to camp and really because I was so livid.



Good customer service is the first step in whether or not a business will do well. In this day and age, word travels fast especially on the internet. Even while enforcing company policy, there is a way to go about it and remain a polite professional.



I'm still looking forward to my first driving lesson with Brandon as I've read great things about his teaching style. I plan to update with another review once that has happened.

I had not driven in a long time and was particularly nervous about driving our brand new car in the City. I randomly stumbled upon US One driving School and decided to give it a try. I could have not been happier, Edvard was fantastic. He was very calm, patient and attentive. He pointed out every mistake even when I thought he was not paying attention. The biggest revelation for me was parallel parking - he broke it down for me into a few easy maneuvers. The only criticism I have is scheduling – the wait for evening and weekend lessons was longer than anticipated/anywhere else (but def. worth it). Overall – I highly recommend it.

Edward (the instructor) is a very nice and friendly guy. He is simply great at his job.

Second time trying to get my drivers license, with no luck. I came across US One Driving School online. Best Driving SCHOOL in NYC. Edward the owner and instructor is very professional and great teacher. I took 15 hours of driving classes and learned everything that I needed. I feel confident. I highly recommend US One Driving School. This is someone with years of experience, knows his job and also cares about your safety. Cheers Edward
