      Public School 3, also known as the John Melser Charrette School, has an annual enrollment of more than 540 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It employs a staff of special education aides, psychologists, social workers, classroom teachers, speech and language pathologists, and occupational and physical therapists for at-risk students. Public School 3 organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as book fairs, talent shows, field days, silent auctions, art days, Halloween parades, picnics, and fall and writing festivals. The school s facilities include an auditorium, cafeteria, library media center, sports field, administrative office, and community, resource, mail and meeting rooms. Built in 1906, Public School 3 is located in New York City.
