We use PX, ( Philip Xavier) for training our staff in Phlebotomy. If you're not yet employed, I would suggest looking for an apprenticeship in a small doctor's office. The necessary insurance for you to volunteer is about $50.00 per month. We have had several outside volunteers come from PX as well. The other suggestion is: Get a temp job at Winston Staffing 222 East 42nd street, or a similar agency. You may have to wash dishes or stock shelves in one of our hospitals, but you get to know office management that way. The outside people we took in, were mostly temp workers.

this school will NOT get you a job if you don't have one lined up already. they rush you in and out without enough clinical training to land a job. a job requires experience, which you do not get here! and they don't offer job placement assistance either. go somewhere else!
