      Care for the Homeless, established in 1985, offers a wide range of support services to homeless children, women and men throughout New York. It offers a full range of medical services, mental health counseling, social services, substance abuse counseling, HIV and AIDS and mental health intensive case management, health education, and housing. The organization provides various primary care services, including physical examinations, episodic care and first aid, specimen collection for laboratory testing, dispensing of prescriptions, referrals to specialty care facilities, urine testing, and tuberculosis screening. Its service sites include shelters for single adults, family shelters, soup kitchens, drop-in centers, and a street outreach program for the mentally ill. Care for the Homeless is located in New York City.
