Dr. Jonathan Aviv is the Clinical Director of the Voice and Swallowing Center™‚ a division of ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP (ENTA) and author of the health and wellness book designed for non-medical professionals called "The Acid Watcher Diet: A 28-Day Reflux Prevention and Healing Program". He comes to the practice from Columbia University‚ where he served as Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery‚ Director‚ Division of Laryngology and Medical Director‚ Voice and Swallowing Center at the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Among his many substantive credentials‚ he is the inventor and developer of the endoscopic air-pulse laryngeal sensory testing technology known as FEESST (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing with Sensory Testing) and a pioneer in the use of unsedated upper endoscopy known as Transnasal Esophagoscopy (TNE). He is a graduate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, and completed both internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and then added a Fellowship at Mount Sinai in Microvascular Head and Neck Reconstruction. In The Acid Watcher Diet, Dr. Jonathan Aviv gave acid reflux sufferers a pathway to healing, helping them identify the silent symptoms of acid damage and providing a two-phase eating and lifestyle plan to reduce whole-body acid damage and inflammation.Now, The Acid Watcher Cookbook widens the possibilities of what acid watchers can eat without repercussions. Explained everything to me clearly
I met with Dr. Aviv for the 1st time and it was just as I expected (based on the many positive reviews I'd read of him). He took time to explain my diagnosis and treatment plan. He was very knowledgeable of my issue (I've been suffering from tightness in my throat for months) and offered me comfort in that he immediately knew the cause of it and how to remedy it. My only con is that I have to travel into NYC to see him(I live in NJ)! But the visit was well worth it. Let's just hope the treatment works!

I was frightened because I didn't know what was wrong. Dr. Aziz listened to a complicated story and solved a mystery: I have nerve damage from Covid that affects my breathing. He told me exactly what to do next. He was a bit impatient because I came unprepared: bring names of doctors and dates of visits! He wrote all my doctors his diagnosis. This was excellent care.
