- Dental ExaminationWith an oral examination and a state-of-the-art i-CAT scan of the mouth, we can evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth and predict if there may be present or future problems and treat the situation immediately. The i-CAT utilizes three-dimensional, cone beam technology. Our computer guided, three-dimensional x-ray of the teeth is invaluable in determining the position of the teeth relative to vital structures, such as nerves and sinuses.

- CrownsThe majority of dental implant procedures are performed in office with a local anesthesia or intravenous sedation. During your zirconia implant procedure, Dr. Mark will place the base of the dental implant into your gum line where the tooth is missing. A temporary crown will be placed on the implant during your healing time. Between your procedure and follow-up visit with Dr. Mark, your gums and jaw will reach ideal osseointegration with your zirconia implant(s). Once your jaw and gum line have cohesively and securely bonded with your ceramic dental implants, you will return to Dr. Mark’s office to receive your permanent crown.
- BridgesZirconia implants host a variety of positive features, especially when compared to traditional tooth or teeth replacement methods like dentures or dental bridges. Dentures and dental bridges look and feel less natural. Dentures also require specialized maintenance, creams, pastes, and powders. Since dentures are removable, they have the possibility to shift, loosen, or detach during your day, which can cause embarrassment.

- Restorative DentistryBefore the immediate extraction & immediate implant procedure was developed, patients needed the extraction socket to heal before an implant could be placed in the space provided. This healing process takes approximately ten to twelve weeks, but thanks to the constantly advancing field of restorative dentistry, waiting until the extraction site heals is no longer necessary in certain cases. Dental bone is naturally pre-programmed to fill an extraction socket, so by placing the dental implant immediately following extraction, the implant is simultaneously anchored with the bone and healed into the socket from this natural healing process.
- Root Canal TreatmentOccasionally, a root canal procedure will not be sufficient to heal a tooth and surgery is required. The most common surgery used to save damaged teeth is called an apicoectomy or root-end resection. An apicoectomy procedure can be used to locate fractures or hidden canals that do not appear on x-rays, but still manifest pain in the tooth. Damaged root surfaces or the surrounding bone may also be treated with this particular type of procedure.
- ApicoectomyDuring Apicoectomy an incision is made in the gum tissue to expose the bone and surrounding inflamed tissue. The damaged tissue is removed along with the end of the root tip. A root-end filling is then placed to prevent re-infection of the root and the gum is sutured. Over the next couple of months, the bone naturally heals around the root and full function is restored.
- DenturesPlease wear loose fitting clothing with sleeves which can be rolled up past the elbow, and low heeled shoes. Contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures must be removed at the time of surgery.
- OverdenturesA single prosthesis (crown) is used to replace one missing tooth – each prosthetic attaches to its own implant. A partial prosthesis (fixed bridge) can replace two or more teeth and may require two or three implants. A complete dental prosthesis (fixed bridge) replaces all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw. The number of implants varies depending upon which type of complete prosthesis (removable or fixed) is recommended. A removable prosthesis (overdenture) attaches to a bar or ball-in-socket attachments, whereas a fixed prosthesis is permanent solution and removable only by a dentist.
- Dental ImplantsZirconia implants are ceramic dental implants that are a permanent solution to the loss of a tooth or teeth. Zirconia dental implants are durable, long-lasting metal free dental implants that restore your smile with the most natural results. While traditional titanium implants have been a common choice for patients, zirconia implants have grown in popularity due to their comfort, nonmetallic composition, and durability.
- Oral SurgeryFor your convenience, the forms required for your initial visit to Central Park Oral Surgery Offices are listed below.
- Jaw SurgeryWe use modern computer techniques and three dimensional models to show you exactly how your surgery will be approached. Using comprehensive facial X-rays and computer video imaging, we can show you how your bite will be improved and even give you an idea of how you'll look after surgery. This helps you understand the surgical process and the extent of the treatment prescribed. This will illustrate the benefits of orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Victoria Laor had the honor of serving as a Chief Resident in her last year of residency.
- Tooth ExtractionsOur office specializes in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial restorative and cosmetic procedures including: Dental Implants, Wisdom Teeth Extractions, Apicoectomies, Bone Grafts and Sinus Augmentations, Orthognathic Surgeries, Pillar Procedures for cases and procedures for cosmetic and therapeutic applications.
- Ridge AugmentationThis not only gives us the opportunity to place implants of proper length and width, it also gives us a chance to restore functionality and esthetic appearance. The bone graft procedures are referred to as sinus lifts and ridge-augmentations.
- Bone GraftingHowever, through new advances in dentistry, we now have the ability to grow bone where needed. There are several products available for bone grafting procedures. One product uses recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) applied to an absorbable collagen sponge carrier. The purpose of the protein, which occurs naturally in the human body, is to stimulate bone formation.
- OrthodonticsOrthognathic surgery is needed when jaws don't meet correctly and/or teeth don't seem to fit with jaws. Teeth are straightened with orthodontics, and corrective jaw surgery repositions misaligned jaws. This not only improves facial appearance, but also ensures that teeth meet correctly and function properly.
