Well, to be honest, You purchase Road Hazard but when they replace it, it's up to YOU if you would like to purchase Road Hazard Again. Sears is kinda pricey, but I just LOVE the road hazard plan. I've gotten over 8 nails in my tire so far, and let me just say, it's been very helpful to show up and they take the nails out for free. Last time my tire had a gash in it from driving....the tire wasn't replaceable. The tires are then "Pro-Rated" and you get credit towards a new one. I can understand how it seems like a scam though, b/c they make it seem like you're completely covered. I just knew how these things work ahead of time. I appreciate having the Hazards though over all has saved me lots of money overall. I will still buy Tires at Sears for now!

Beware! This place will try every trick in the book to get you to pay for more service or product than you need.

I bought new tires and they tried to tell me my battery was dead. It was a brand new battery recently purchased elsewhere. I said "No way!" and my car magically started with no battery trouble at all. A few months later I damaged a tire on the road running over a nail or such. My purchase had included an additional charge for Road Hazard coverage that would repair or replace my tire for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE (per contract). They replaced the tire and then tried to charge me those fees and demanded that I repurchase Road Hazard coverage. They refused to return my car until I paid. A sheriff came and witnessed, telling me it was a civil matter and I should pursue it legally. The charges were less than $15 but if they hook everybody this way that adds up to a lot of money for somebody

The service clerk was Peter, with a heavy British accent. I had him both visits and he (and/or Sears) is a crooked as a dog's hind leg in my opinion. Beware of this place. They will crook you any way they can. My matter is now going before legal review. The general manager at Sears is already calling me offering refunds of the Road Hazard fees. Tell it to my attorney!
