I've been there at least 4 times for dinner and only one time was i disappointed, they did not accept my coupon that I purchased online and they were not very nice about it. Just a poor staff that night. I guess not everyone can be nice all the time. The other times the food was great and I was very pleased.
well Ive been here before so we tried it again and it got nothing but worse! to food was overcooked and tasteless, the server we had was totally oblivious to our needs and the worst part is we gave it a second chance for Vday this yr... BAD IDEA!
talk about neglected NO THANK YOU!
Havana is the one place that combines bad service and bad food. Avoid this place and you will be glad you did.
The food was horrible, and service was the worst I've ever experienced. Staff was unprofessional, rude, and very very disrespectful. Very overpriced, noisy and loud. We ordered 5 entries and the were all real bad. If you want to have a nice dinner out, don't even think about going to Havana. Choose another place in New Hope and have a good time somewhere else.
I planned my bday celebration at Havana. I found jazz-dinner combination on their website for $20 which sounded pretty good so I invited some friends of mine. I called to pre-order appetizers. I spoke with the manager Ernie (sp) and explained that I am making reservation for 8 people for the jazz-dinner combo. He asked where I wanted to be seated, in the room with the jazz band or a separate room. I asked him if you could still hear the jazz in the other room and he replied yes so I thought since there was going to be a number of us and we would like to catch up it would be better if we'll be in a separate room and that way it will be more comfortable for us and the people listening to the band in the jazz band room. I am pointing out that he himself suggested to sit us in a different room since he said it’s going to be a busy night. When we got to the restaurant the jazz room was half-empty but they did set up a table for us in a separate room as discussed with the manager before. As we started munching on the appetizers (which were tasteless by the way, calamari especially tasted like rubber and seared wasn't done properly either), I went to talk to our waitress to make sure that we are here for the jazz/dinner menu. At that point she proceeded to tell me that they only serve that menu in the jazz room and we have to order from the regular menu if we wanted to stay in the other room. I explained very politely that I spoke with the manager and gave her his name. She went back to talk to him and came back saying that the manager wasn't there and that he was at Home Depot and she couldn't even reach him on the phone. What kind of place doesn't have a manager present during busy dinner hour? She was extremely rude and uninterested in serving her customer's needs. At that point I was extremely disappointed with the whole experience and didn't feel like celebrating my bday at this restaurant. I felt like she would do something nasty to the food if we stayed that's how rude she was. We left the place and I am so glad we did! We ended up at another restaurant (that used to be a church forgot the name of it) where everyone was extremely pleasant and food was out of this world! I know Havana is a popular place because of its location and music acts but truly should anyone have a right to treat their customers that way and get away with it? I think each one of you deserves better service and better food for that matter..
The staff lied about the jazz menu, and when confronted, completely diregarded the fact that the manager confirmed the pricing. The waitress was rude and completely ruined a nicely planned evening. The fried calamari appetizer was not properly cooked and tasted like a piece of rubber. New Hope is such a wonderful place, so DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PICK A DIFFERENT RESTAURANT!!!!!
This was one of the WORST restaurants I have EVER been to. There is NO ONE in charge if there is a question or a problem. People are rude and unaccomadating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to ANYONE!!!!!
Went there with friends for a Birthday Celebration. We had reservations for a Jazz Diner, but we were told we can't have the menu for that special when we've go to the place. The manager was not available, he went to Home Depot during the dinner time?!?!?! The waitress was very unprofessional, very rude. We had to leave the place, the service was horrible. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR DINNER TO BE RUINED!!!!
This restuarant is horrible. The service is slow, the food is bad, and the management is worse. Went here with 5 people on what appeared to be a slow Thursday. We waited a really long time for our food. But, I know why, they seem to really like to overcook pork and the seared tuna. The fajitas, described as a house specialty. The chicken was smoothered in BBQ sauce which was covered by cold shreeded mozzarella. The Caesar salad has a weird flavoring on it. We haven't figured out what it is. When asked how the food was, we began to tell the server our thoughts. She told us there was nothing she could do about it unless we speak to the manager. We requested to speak with the manager who came over to listen to our complaints. He walked away while we were still talking. With all the delightful restaurants in New Hope, don't waste your time or money here.
great place! Lots of fun on the weekend. diverse crowd. very cool place to be anytime. really crownded on the weekend and mellow during the week.
love the ""world cuisine"" menu with the biggest burger you will find anywhere.
love the bands inside almost every night. great martinis.
we even bring the kids when it is not too busy- week nights. locals love the place.
Not a bad little bar. The outside bar is perhaps the best part. Age groups vary from 21-late 40's. Most people dress nice casual although anything really goes. Weekends the place is overcrowded and it'll be impossible to find parking, much less a seat anywhere. For some place to go that's fun and more laid back, or just when the weather isn't great go down the street to Ringside.
Check out kareoke night on mondays at Havana's. It's a blast.
the food's great (the onion rings are to kill for) the outdoor bar's comfy, the margeuritas are for real.... too bad it's currently the hip new place to hang in New Hope, which makes it crowded, loud, not a little rude...and god help you if you're not a 'party animal' The eye candy's mostly provided by off-work locals...keep an eye out for the two bald cats from the Sword Shoppe! but stay away on weekends.
