Founded in 1985, Gateway Terminal is a full-service deep-water marine terminal operator and service provider. Based in New Haven, Conn., the firm handles various types of dry/liquid and break bulk cargoes, such as coal, cobble stone, heavy machinery, iron ore, petroleum, lumber, pumice, salt and sand. Some of its services include bulk and break bulk transshipment, stevedoring, trucking and rail/barging services. Gateway Terminal serves a host of industries, such as the international maritime community, construction, steel, aggregate, manufacturing, mining, oil, energy and government agencies. It operates deep-water ship berths, barge berths capable of loading/discharging cargoes and a Petroleum Tank Farm.
