I am a 31 year old female and was diagnosed with a parathyroid adenoma. During my online research I came across the famous Dr. In Tampa but soon found out it would cost thousands more out of pocket to just have a consult on the phone for him to tell me what I already know that the tumor needs to come out. My husband and I decided that was ridiculous and to search for a more local doctor. My endocrinologist referred me to Dr. Sullivans partner. I called his office and was upset to learn that his partner was very busy and backed up. They referred me to see Dr. Sullivan and advised he was amazing. I tried to do reasearch on him and could not find much on the internet due to the fact he is a younger doctor. His school credentials are outstanding and I felt that he must be a very intelligent doctor. I set up an appointment with him for a consult. He is super knowledgeable and he is very personable. His school and residency experience was great and he had already had quite a lot of surgeries under his belt. I was nervous about the surgery but decided to move foward because my husband and I had a great feeling about him. I am currently a little over 2 weeks post-op and I am really happy that I chose Dr. Sullivan. One of the best things about him is his bedside manor, he explains everything so you can clearly understand what they are about to do and he treats you like you are a family member. One of my biggest concerns was that I was getting a full exploration (which means typically the incision needs to be bigger) and was worried about the size and look of the incision. My incision looks amazing, it looks like a plastic surgeon closed me up. It will definitely fade in the crease of my neck and if at all be barely noticeable. It's too early to tell if my physical symptoms have subsided but I do feel better everyday. His office staff and the hospital were very nice and took great care of me. I definitely recommend Dr. Sullivan, I promise you will not be disappointed!
