Located in Charlotte, N.C., Alexander Youth Network is one of the leading providers of children s behavioral health care services. The agency provides a wide range of services to treat emotional disorders, including diagnostic assessment, community support services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, psychiatric residential treatment, outpatient therapy, residential treatment, group home treatment, and therapeutic foster care. It has a crisis shelter, which is a coed, nine-bed emergency shelter that serves runaway, homeless and other youth in crisis ages 7- to 17-years. Youth may reside at the shelter for up to 14 days, and receive referrals, problem solving, and support services through a walk-in appointment or the crisis hotline. Alexander Youth Network serves more than 1,000 children every year. The agency is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
