We had a new electric hvac installed by Jeff Sarvis from the company sunrise heating and air in the summer of 2013. The air conditioning worked wonderful. We orignially had an oil furnace and we wanted to switch to electric. Jeff warned us that the heat wouldn't be as hot as the oil furnace. We were ok with that because we wanted to use a fire insert to supplement. Come winter when the temperature was under 40 degrees the heater would blow out cold air. The house was as cold as 52 degrees and the electric bill was as high at 584 dollars during the coldest month of winter. I called Jeff's cellphone twice to come look at the system and left messages and he never returned my phone calls. I spent the entire winter with my oven on broil and space heaters going and the warmest I could get the house was 61 degrees. This winter (Jan 2015) I had a different company come out to look at the heater and they told me the heating strip for emergency heat was improperly wired so the heater was only running on a third of its capacity and the thermostat was not programmed correctly. I had to spend over 300 dollars to get this fixed. I called Jeff again just to see if he would call me back so I could explain what happened and see if he would be willing to reimburse me for these costs. He didn't ask me any questions about what company I used or about the problem. He because very defensive immediately and extremely unprofessional. This was before I even asked if he would reimburse me. He did not seem the least bit concerned that one of his customers that paid over 10,000 for the new system spent the entire winter freezing cold. I hope no one else has to deal with what I did.
