      Solid Ground engages more than 100 AmeriCorps and VISTA Members each year, to provide a year of service in the community. Members work on a wide array of anti-poverty projects throughout Seattle/King County, receive a small living stipend and a post-service AmeriCorps Education Award.

      Fremont Public Association was established in 1974 and provides various housing and health care services to poor and homeless individuals. The center offers a range of educational programs in nutrition and sustainable food production for children. It grows and provides a variety of organic produce to various food banks and nutritional resource providers. Fremont Public Association offers a wide range of services for seniors and individuals with disabilities that include home care, mental health counseling and transportation services. The center also provides various meals and nutritional programs for seniors. It additionally offers assistance with the day-to-day operations to various food banks. The center s services also include 24-hour staffing and crisis services, advocacy-based counseling, domestic violence education and referral programs, and food and housing counseling.
