Had quotes for gas hot water heater and installation and his cash price was best in local area. Questioned about adding expansion tank and he told me if it did not have one on originally, then "not needed" with new heater.
Pressure valve leaking on new water heater within a month of installation. Needs expansion tank to solve the issue. Steve Quoted $200 to add the expansion tank.
Other plumbing companies that I originally quoted replacing hot water heater "included" an expansion tank. Questioned Steve about cost of the expansion tank....would not give me his cost, only to say $200 for the job and would charge me his cost for the expansion tank. I said Home Depot sells tank for $40. So he said ok have Home Depot install it and hung up on me! Appears you cannot have a legitimate calm conversation and get straight answers. Very unprofessional, and surprised me as he appeared to be a nice guy.
So, I will find someone else to add the expansion tank.

Very unprofessional. We had an appointment to get our boiler serviced for the winter season SE Green never shows up, never calls to inform us that they wont be coming either. When my wife calls to ask what happened the man was very rude. Do your self a favor and use a different service.

Install a new heat pump and air conditioner. over a year later it still wont work and he wont return calls. another plumber had to be called and i have a three page list of everything they did wrong. including the wiring such a mess it could have caused a fire.

Had a new AC, heater and water tank fitted in 2012 with 5-yr warranty costing over $10,000. First the wiring melted inside the unit (which could of caused a house fire). They did come out to fix (72 hours later), however upon fixing I received a bill from BGE for $700. It was a cold winter so thought 'jeez' ....however in December and January I received a bill for 1040 and $1,200! BGE inspected my house and could not find a fault. I called Steve, at first he said he would come asap, but did sigh when I mentioned my address. He never did show or return my phone calls. I eventually hired to take a look who found the issue straight away - it was wired wrong. They documented how SE Green had wired my Heat Pump incorrectly so that AUX heat would always be on! A/C did not work past summer. Again no return phone calls. Now heat does not work yet again. Tried calling several times a day, left messages and nothing. 10,000+ of my money (not including excessive BGE bills and cost of repairs) down the drain. Scam artist. Cant say more as I am considering legal action.

What a scammer. Makes all these promises then does not follow through. Final bill was $400 more than quoted and charged my card before approved. Never got a bill. Had to come back and fix mistake. I should have looked at the 2star rating and stayed away. I really like Steves response given 12/31/13. Hey Steve with this kind of rating my guess is she was right. 435.00 to hook up a gas range to existing piping and change 7 orifices that were supplied. That is expensive. Plus they sent two men to do a one person job.

My air was out and Green couldn't diagnose it. Said it was probably the board and that it would likley blow again. He quoted the board to be $500 and that if it blows again I might as well replace whole thing. So I said I wanted a second opinion - he left my air handler and AC unit outside all undone. Got a second opinion - it was the thermostate - it had burned out due to mice in the AC unit. Funny he couldn't diagnose something so easy. The guy I got out there wasn't even an AC man - he said he could not believe it!

WE HAD A CLOGGED TOILET IN OUR BUSINESS AND THIS MAN DROPPED THE "F" BOMB 5 TIMES IN FRONT OF OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS CHILDREN. THE TOILET WAS NOT FIXED PROPERLY, AND LEAKS NOW. HE REFUSES TO WORK ON IT. FOUL MOUTHED, SHODDY REPAIR. HAD MY STAFF NEAR TEARS HE WAS SO RUDE AND CRUDE.

In responce to the horrible review I can only say this lady called because she had a compeditor out several times with no luck. He replaced several parts but she was still having the same problim. I cleaned up the wireing and told her what i thought ( knew ) the trouble was. She insisted that wasent the trouble, but I knew it was. I left that day and told her if I didn't hear from her for a couple weeks I would send her a bill, but if the problim showed up again we would need to do the repair I recommended. I knew she was going to call because I knew what needed to be done to correct the trouble even though she wouldent believe me. Sure enough the next morning at 6:00 am the phone rang and she had the trouble again. I told her I would be on the way to do what I had explained to her the day before, but she screamed at me telling me how i had over charged her?? To make a long story short this customer insists I over charged her, yet I never billed her a dime. You decide!!

Called Steve and asked his fee to come diagnose a problem with a furnace and was quoted $55...made an appointment. On appointment day 15 minutes after allotted time I called to see if he would be much longer as I had a few errands to run and it was clear he had forgotten.He called back and showed up later...checked the furnace and he could not figure out what the problem was. Told me he wasn't going to bill me now but would send it in a week to 10 days if he had not heard from me (meaning if he had fixed it by tightning the wires). When I asked how much he said $100. I asked $55 or $100 and he said $100 but if it doesn't work between now and then call. Woke up next morning and furnace won't come on. I called him to express my displeasure at being quoted 1 price but charged another and was going to offer just to send him the $55 he quoted me but he cursed me out so abrubtly I had no chance to offer. I actually put him on speaker so the other people in the room could hear. Sad!
