I was delighted with the results of Mountain Man Trees. They removed vines, shaped trees, removed trees and stumps - it was a full day job and my yard looks great. They showed up on time, worked until the job was done, and cleaned up everything. I don't often recommend businesses, but this family owned business exceeded my expectations. My backyard looks so much better now, I wish I had called them a year ago. I will certainly call them for any future tree work.

I asked for four quotes to remove a threatening palm tree that was above the house roof and circumference was larger than I could reach around. It was at least ten years tall with dropping leaves, seedpods and even bird leavings. Mountain Man Trees provided the best quote and their work was absolutely the cleanest when finished. Along with the palm, they also trimmed and thinned a large ficus benjamin tree as nature intended and two stumps ground. Very pleased with their work and their charges. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I hired Mountain Man Trees to trim and prune some trees as well as to fertilize a plant, weed my yard (front and back), and blow out all the debris. They did a FANTASTIC job! My yard looks even better than I had hoped. One of my trees is a very large pine tree--it's at least twice as tall as my two-story house--and I was very pleased to see that they pruned it all the way to the very top. (I have had others say they could not prune/trim some trees due to their height). These guys are thorough, professional, and reasonably priced. I would (and will) recommend them to anyone.

Jeremiah and his crew arrived late in the day and started the service. They were unable to finish the job that evening, so they returned the nest day. The yard was spotless when they left that evening. They reurned the next day and completed the job. The trees were trimmed back and thinned out in a manned that was condusive to the trees health and the look of the front yard.



When the job was complete, the cleanup left the yard beautiful.

I would highly recommend this tree service. I just purchased a short sale home and it needed the trees and shrubs trimmed. I called Mountain Man and they came out and gave me a fair bid, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable about completing my job. My trees look great and healthy. The shrubs look great. They even cleaned up after themselves. The other workers I have hired to do work INSIDE the house could learn from this tree company.

I have two palm trees in my backyard that need to be trimmed every year. The backyard doesn't have an access gate, so the professionals have to climb over the roof to carry the branches out. Mountain Man Trees did a great job in timely manner. They showed up on time unlike others I had experienced before, and did a very clean job. Pricing was also reasonable. Here's my story:

Once upon a time there was a boy who came home from summer camp with an acorn. The acorn was put in a cup and grew a leaf. The boy's father planted the small twig in a quiet place in the yard. The twig became a stick taller than the boy. The boy moved away and the twig became a giant Oak.



Along came three different tree service companies who believed they were the right people to trim the tree and each said they could start that week. It happens a visitor from Arizona came the same week as the local tree companies. The visitor said none should trim the tree until later in the season.



The visitor was Jeremiah Johnson. He came to visit family in the neighborhood, and said, "The tree shouldn't be trimmed during the growing season unless absolutely needed." It was the wrong time to trim the oak. Especially in Iowa. Iowa oaks are easily diseased during the summer by a fungus if injured or trimmed. After checking the local extension service I learned he knew my oak better than the local tree service companies.



If I lived in Arizona Jeremiah Johnson would trim my tree. He knew my tree better than the local tree experts.

Mountain Man Trees first job was to thin approximately 8 large trees and they were not only here when they told me they would be they left my yard sparkling with all trash from the trees removed. Second job was to thin out and top my fruit trees and they did so a fantastci job that I had a bountiful harvest. Jeremiah Johnson knows his operation inside and out and I would diffently recommend him. He does what he says he will do for the price quoted.

This was the most excellent service I've seen in the 10 years I've been in Arizona, honestly. This is a company that you don't mind giving your money to because they earn it. I think the price was fair; we only had one other phone estimate and it was similar in price. We had a storm snap off at ground level a tall Acacia tree, and the tree fell onto the neighbors yard. Mountain Man Trees did an incredibly fast and neat job of cleaning up this tree. And they worked on the Labor Day holiday! I'd recommend them to anyone.

We contacted Mountain Man Tree to remove an enormous mesquite tree in a very closed quarter area of a patio home. Jeremiah was great in getting me an estimate the day I called. They set us up with an appointment within a couple of days of the estimate. They removed this enormous tree that was very close to two homes with great care and did an awesome job of going above our expectations of cleaning our yard and removing all the branches that we tried originally removing from the tree ourselves. They did a great job in grinding down the huge stump too. We would strongly recommend this Company to anyone else. Jeremiah is a genuine hard worker with a good crew. I applaud Jeremiah and Mountain Man for their outstanding work on my two Queen palm trees. Now topped and trimmed I have had great comments from my neighbors, one even hired Mountain Man trees to do a topping on a palm tree just by seeing the job they did in my yard. They arrived on time, they cleaned the yard when they were done, they cleaned my neighbors yards as well. Reasonable price, certainly not the lowest, but the value they add in just showing up on time, doing the work on time and quick and professional clean up, I am sold on Mountain Man. It is very difficult to find vendors who provide good customer service. I contacted Mountain Man Trees using e-mail and received a call the same day! Additionally, they showed up at my home the same afternoon to give me a quote. I decided to use this company as the quote they provided me was within the appropriate price range to remove a tree (Can you tell that I have been through this before with other companies?).. They called me per my request, showed up on the scheduled day and promptly removed the tree and ground the stump. I was VERY pleased with their customer service and friendliness and will definitely use them again. I will also recommend Mountain Man Trees to others based on a very enjoyable experience.

We feel they've done an awesome job getting rid of our ugly, monster of a tree (thanks to the guy who didn't take very good care of it). They worked fast and hard to cut it down and move it out of the road, even the stump grinding was great; and they cleaned everything up too. I contacted Mountain Man Trees to remove 2 Mexican Fan Palms that had planted themselves in my yard a few years ago. At first I thought these trees were pretty, but they became a nuissance, since they grew large enough to block the pool pathway. The service from Mountain Man Trees was excellent! They came out a day or two after the estimate and were done in only 2 hours. They managed to carefully grind the stumps in spite of their close proximity to the pool deck. They also trimmed and fertilized my other palm tree. The cleanup was so thorough that the area around where they had worked was the cleanest part of the yard! I would strongly recommend this service to anyone else, and I will be calling them again if I ever need any work done in the future.
