- Window CleaningIn the July of 1984 Deborah Seib started The Master’s Helping Hands in response to the growing need in the Fresno-Clovis area for an honest and caring housecleaning service. Initially customers were the elderly and disabled – those most in need of help and most vulnerable to abuse. Starting with a few friends, relatives, and church members, the number of customers grew as word spread. Soon working people and families in need of help began calling. Debbie’s goal was simple – to serve the Lord by doing the best house and window cleaning she could for each customer.
- VacuumingThe basis of our housecleaning is the room. Cleaning begins at the top with lights and vents. Edging is next – vacuuming along baseboards, coving, and the junctures where ceiling and walls meet (places preferred by spiders). In bathrooms and kitchens, the more difficult chores such as stoves, showers, tubs, and toilets are done next. Then comes the cleaning of window coverings, decorative items, counters, and furniture as the employee proceeds around the room. Last is the floor as the person cleans his or her way out of the room.
- DustingOur most versatile tool is the vacuum. After years of research, our vacuum of choice is the Miele. (See www.miele.com ) While most housecleaning services use upright vacuums, we find a canister model is preferable for the ease in using attachments. Each employee is trained in the correct use of each attachment – crevice piece for edging, floor brush for hard surfaces, power head for carpeted areas, small dusting brush, upholstery tool, and extension poles for high areas (20+ feet). Vacuum bags and filters are changed frequently.
- Deep CleaningOur typical housecleaning is more thorough than other cleaning companies. Employees are also trained in a variety of special tasks like washing walls and waxing floors. Our maintenance plan includes rotating the “deep cleaning” of designated areas. The amount and depth of the housecleaning can be adjusted to comply with a customer’s needs, desires, and budget.
- Bathroom Cleaning
- Residential CleaningWe have a company bond in case of theft. However, a bond does not provide the automatic coverage generally believed. In order for a customer to receive reimbursement from a bond for a loss, there must be a police report, an arrest, and a conviction of the thief – not an easy feat in house cleaning. Therefore, we have our own zero-tolerance policy. Once a loss is reported, we thoroughly investigate and try to isolate the date and/or time of occurrence. We then arrange for polygraph tests for all employees who were in the home during that period. It is important that we eliminate our employees from consideration.
- Construction Clean-UpThe Master’s Helping Hands, Inc. is primarily a residential housecleaning service in the Fresno-Clovis area – homes in which people are, will be, and were living. This can include model homes, construction cleanup, and even some offices.
