Buyer Beware! My home AC went out so I called this company as they had serviced the unit before and they advertise 24/7 emergency service on their website.

I called them around 5:15 or 5:30 in the evening and was told it would be $89 for a service call since it was after hours (apparently it is normally $69). I said no problem and the man I spoke with asked me some questions about the unit and what it was (or was not) doing. After I explained to him that it was not running at all, he told me that someone would be at my house between 6 and 7:30 that evening. Around 9PM that same evening, nobody had shown up and nobody had called to tell me why. When I called them back, I talked with a woman who apparently had no idea that I was waiting on someone to show up! Funny, they seem to have no problem remembering to get in touch with me each spring when they are looking to come out for maintenance. I get a few calls a week then, but when I needed them the most I heard nothing!

When a company tells me they are going to do something, I expect them to keep their word. Yes things come up, I understand that completely. If that is what happened here then a simple phone call to let me know they would be late would have sufficed. Apparently I was not important enough to them as a previous customer to get that phone call - I was just forgotten about. So I will be a customer of theirs no more. I will relate my experience with this company to others so that they can evaluate and decide if they want to take a chance and end up with this type of experience.

If you are looking for emergency service on your AC unit, you may want to consider other options.

Signed a 1yr contract 3/4yrs ago. Everytime they came out for the standard visit they would find something wrong with my AC/Heating units. It would cost $200/$300 each time. After the 1yr contract I did not renew. Right after they started calling my home phone to encourage me to sign a new contract. I would ask them to not call me & before I could get it out of my mouth they would hang up. It shows their local number but is actually coming from a calling svc from another state. I have called Freedom Heating numerous times asking to be removed from their call list. They say they remove my number & within a couple of weeks they start calling again. I spoke to Quinton (I've spoken to him many times before) & he said my number was listed to "do not call" but my number hadn't been removed from the list. What? If you remove my number from the list it will just pop back up within a couple of weeks. I would never encourage my worst enemy to use this company.
